Comparison of the Effects of Medium-dose and High-dose Atorvastatin in the Treatment of Patients with Symptomatic Middle Cerebral Artery Stenosis
Objective:To compare the effects of medium-dose and high-dose atorvastatin in the treatment of patients with symptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis. Methods:A retrospective analysis of 80 patients with symptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis admitted to our hospital from December 2020 to December 2023 was conducted. The patients were divided into reference group(40 patients)and study group(40 patients)according to the treatment method. The reference group was treated with medium-dose atorvastatin, and the study group was treated with high-dose atorvastatin. The blood lipid indexes, good prognosis rate, dynamic cerebral autoregulation(dCA)index, stroke scale(NHISS)score,mRS score and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the level of HDL-C in the study group was higher than that in the reference group, and the levels of LDL-C,TC and TG were lower than those in the reference group(P<0.05).The good prognosis rate of the study group was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05).The gain of the study group was lower than that of the reference group, and the phase difference was higher than that of the reference group(P<0.05).The BHISS score and mRS score of the study group were lower than those of the reference group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was higher than that in the reference group, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:High-dose atorvastatin can effectively improve dCA function, blood lipid index and neurological function in patients with symptomatic middle cerebral artery stenosis, thereby improving the prognosis of patients, and will not lead to an increase in the incidence of adverse reactions.
