Analysis and Preventive Measures of Unreasonable Prescriptions in Outpatient Pharmacy of a Tertiary Hospital
Objective:To retrospectively analyze the unreasonable prescriptions in the outpatient department of our hospital from July to September 2022,analyze the existing problems and explore the corresponding improvement measures,so as to provide some reference for the follow-up prescription management of outpatient pharmacy.Methods:Using the HIS system of our hospital,prescriptions from outpatient pharmacies from July 1 to September 30,2022 were extracted.Microsoft Excel spreadsheets were used to collect information on unqualified prescriptions,and unreasonable prescriptions were analyzed.Result:A total of 1632 unreasonable prescriptions were issued,among which the highest proportion was in the Department of Stomatology,accounting for 47.09%,followed by the Department of Otolaryngology(24.79%),and the proportion of unreasonable prescriptions in other departments was relatively low.There were a total of 1535 inappropriate prescriptions,of which the highest proportion was the use of antibiotics without indications,accounting for 63.91%,followed by the proportion of inappropriate administration routes.There were 157 non-standard prescriptions,of which 4 had non-standard prescription writing,accounting for 2.55%,and the rest were diagnostic prescriptions with non-standard writing,accounting for 97.45%.Some prescriptions had two unreasonable issues at the same time.Conclusion:The dental department of our outpatient pharmacy has the highest proportion of unreasonable prescriptions,and the largest proportion of unreasonable prescription types is the use of antibiotics without indication.In the future,we will control and prevent unreasonable prescriptions in outpatient clinics by strengthening audits,improving drug management,and increasing the popularity of drug knowledge.
