Analysis of Statins Use in Outpatients of a Hospital from 2020 to 2023
Objective:To retrospectively analyze the information of outpatients using statins in Tianjin Baodi District People's Hospital from 2020 to 2023,evaluate and analyze the use of statins,and provide theoretical guidance for clinical rational drug use.Methods:The PASS system was used to count the basic information of patients using statins,including age and gender;the defined daily dose(DDD)analysis method recommended by the World Health Organization was used to calculate the defined daily doses(DDDs)and defined daily dose cost(DDC)of each statin.Results:The top ranked drugs in terms of medication frequency and amount were atorvastatin and rosuvastatin,with good synchronous correlation.Among them,atorvastatin's medication amount and DDDs were on the rise every year.The data showed that atorvastatin with a steady upward trend,especially in 2022 and 2023,with growth rates of 49%and 55%respectively compared to the previous year,indicating good social and economic benefits.Conclusion:Our hospital should further strengthen the scientific management of statin drugs to comply with the principles of safe,reasonable,effective,and economical.
