Application Effect of Compound Polymyxin B Ointment Combined with rh-EGF External Solution in the Repair of Residual Wounds After Facial and Neck Burns
Objective:To analyze the clinical effect of compound polymyxin B ointment combined with recombinant human epidermal growth factor(rh-EGF)external solution in the repair of residual wounds after facial and neck burns. Methods:From January 2023 to March 2024,40 patients with facial and neck burns who needed wound repair in the Central Hospital of Wuhan were collected as the research objects, with a total of 100 wounds. They were randomly divided into observation group(21 patients)and control group(19 patients). The control group was treated with rh-EGF external solution combined with infrared irradiation, while the observation group was treated with compound polymyxin B ointment on the basis of the control group. The bacterial clearance, current pain intensity(PPI),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score and clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate and wound bacterial clearance rate of the observation group were better than those of the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the PPI score and PSQI score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:It is feasible to use compound colistin B ointment and rh-EGF external solution in patients with residual wound repair after facial and neck burns. It has obvious therapeutic effect, and can effectively remove infected bacteria, relieve pain and improve sleep quality. It is worthy of clinical application.
