Electrocardiogram Analysis of Methamphetamine Abusers in the Acute Detoxification and Discharge Period
Objective:To explore the electrocardiogram characteristics of methamphetamine abusers in Compulsory Isolated Detoxification Centers during the acute detoxification and discharge periods.Methods:Cluster randomly sampled 1,225 methamphetamine abusers from four compulsory Isolated Detoxification centers in Hunan Province between September 2018 and October 2022 as study subjects on a brigade basis.The methamphetamine abusers were divided into acute detoxification group and discharge group according to the admission time,593 social medical examiners were selected as the control group,and the groups were also divided into men and women according to gender.Electrocardiograms of all study subjects were collected and analyzed among the acute detoxification group,discharge group,control group and between male and female in each group.Results:There was a statistically significant difference in the abnormal rate of electrocardiogram between the acute detoxification group,the exit group and the control group(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the number of sinus tachycardia and abnormal electrocardiogram between men and women in the acute detoxification group(P<0.05),and the number of men was higher than that of women.There was a statistically significant difference in the number of sinus bradycardia and arrhythmia between men and women in the study group(P<0.05),and women were higher than men.In addition,there was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of electrocardiogram between men and women with abuse time less than 15 years in the acute detoxification group(P>0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the abnormal rate of electrocardiogram between men and women who abused for more than 15 years(P<0.05)),and men were higher than women.Conclusion:Methamphetamine can cause long-term damage to the heart of abusers.With the increase of abuse time,the damage to men is more obvious.In the compulsory isolation detoxification place,psychological factors mainly inhibit the sinus node of abusers,and the inhibition effect on women is more obvious.
