Effect of Rehmannia Glutinosa Polysaccharide Combined with Puerarin Assisted with Conventional Western Medicine in the Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of rehmannia glutinosa polysaccharide combined with puerarin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus and its effects on endothelin(ET),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and hemorheology.Methods:A total of 60 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus admitted from July 2020 to July 2022 were selected and divided into observation group and control group,with 30 patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Rehmannia glutinosa polysaccharide combined with puerarin on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,glucose and lipid metabolism indexes,ET-1,TNF-α and hemorheology indexes were compared between the two groups.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The 2 h postprandial blood glucose,fasting blood glucose,LDL-C,ET-1,TNF-α,hematocrit,plasma viscosity and whole blood viscosity in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and HDL-C was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Rehmannia glutinosa polysaccharide combined with puerarin assisted conventional western medicine in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus can improve the therapeutic effect of patients,improve the glucose and lipid metabolism indexes of patients,reduce ET-1,TNF-α and hemorheology indexes,which is worthy of clinical application.
