Practical Analysis of Clinical Pharmacist Intervention in the Application of the Second Batch of Key Monitoring Drugs
Objective:To analyze the use of drugs in the second batch of the National Key Monitoring and Rational Drug Use Catalogue in our hospital through clinical pharmacists, explore its control mode, and promote the rational use of key monitoring drugs in clinical practice. Methods:Through the hospital information system (HIS),clinical pharmacists analyzed the data of the number of key monitoring drugs and irrational drug use published by 27 countries in the hospital before the intervention (July 2022-December 2022) and after the intervention (July 2023-December 2023). Results:The main reasons for the unreasonable use of the second batch of key monitoring drugs were distributed in the aspects of inadequate training, imperfect management system and imperfect information system. Before and after the intervention, the use of key monitoring drugs showed a downward trend, with the maximum decline of 57.89%,the rational use rate increased by 41.20%,and the unqualified cases decreased by 70.07%. Conclusion:Clinical pharmacists have managed the application of the second batch of key monitored drugs through clinical pharmacy practices such as system revision, medication education, and the application of PDCA cycle, significantly reducing the use of key monitored drugs and effectively improving the rational use rate of key monitored drugs in our hospital.
