To explore the value of lateral position sleep in reducing the AHI value of OSA patients
Objective:To explore whether side-lying sleep can help to reduce the AHI value of OSA patients. Methods:From June 2020 to July 2024,the data of 163 patients who underwent portable sleep apnea monitoring in our department were statistically analyzed. The indicators of statistical analysis included age, gender,BMI,left AHI,right AHI,supine AHI and comprehensive AHI. To explore whether there are differences in AHI among different positions in different age groups, genders,BMI categories, and comprehensive AHI categories. Results:The people who do not have the OSA can not reduce the AHI value by changing the position. Among OSA patients, different gender, normal BMI patients, overweight and obese patients,30-69 years old patients, mild OSA patients, moderate and severe OSA patients can reduce the AHI value by sleeping on the side. Conclusions:OSA patients can reduce AHI by sleeping in the lateral position.
