Effect of Lidocaine Gel Plaster in Adjuvant Treatment of Postherpetic Neuralgia
Objective:To study the effect of lidocaine gel plaster combined with nerve block and ozone local injection in the treatment of postherpetic neuralgia. Methods:A total of 80 patients with postherpetic neuralgia admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with nerve block and local injection of ozone, while the observation group was treated with lidocaine gel plaster combined with nerve block and local injection of ozone. The quality of life scores and laboratory indexes[neuropeptide Y (NPY),β-endorphin (β-EP),substance P (SP),interleukin (IL)-1β,tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),IL-10 and IL-6]were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the scores of various dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05);the serum levels of NPY,β-EP,SP,IL-1β,TNF-α,IL-10,and IL-6 in the observation group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:Lidocaine gel plaster combined with nerve block and ozone local injection is effective in the treatment of patients with postherpetic neuralgia, which can improve the level of pain-related neuropeptides and inflammatory factors, and then improve the quality of life of patients.
