Effect of alendronate sodium on rheumatoid arthritis combined with osteoporosis and its influence on bone metabolism
Objective To explore the effect of alendronate sodium on rheumatoid arthritis complicated with osteoporosis and its effect on bone metabolism. Methods The 112 patients with rheumatoid arthritis com-bined with osteoporosis who were treated in Zhejiang Veteran Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the randomized numerical table method. The control group was treated with salazopyridine combined with calcium, and the observation group was treated with alendronate sodium on the basis of the control group. The therapeutic effect and bone metabolism of the two groups were monitored and compared. Results After treatment, the overall efficacy of the observation group(71%)was higher than that of the control group(52%)(x2=8.797,P=0.001);compared with before treatment, the joint function of both groups was improved after treatment, and the joint function of the observation group was bet-ter than that of the control group after treatment(Z=2.147,P<0.05);compared with the pretreatment, the ESR,CRP,TNF-α,and RF levels were reduced in both groups after treatment, and the related inflammatory indexes after treatment were lower in the observation group than in the control group[(14.7±2.3)mm/1 h)vs(20.8±3.9)mm/1 h,(10.3±1.4)mg/L vs(16.1±1.7)mg/L,(13.1±2.4)pg/ml vs(24.1±3.4)pg/ml,(21.8±2.8)U/ml vs(32.6±3.1)U/ml,t=8.197、9.762、14.741、11.626,P<0.05];compared with the control group, the OC,ALP,and P1NP levels[(1 1.5±2.1)ng/ml vs(16.2±1.7)ng/ml、(87.7±7.4)U/L vs(96.9±8.6)U/L、(53.8±5.6)ng/ml vs(61.3±6.2)ng/ml]were reduced and the BMD level[(0.74±0.20)g/cm3 vs(0.55±0.11)g/cm3]was increased in obsevration groups after treatment(t=12.267、4.325、10.174、8.993,P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of salazopyridine combined with conventional treatment, alendronate sodium can effectively improve the treatment efficiency, improve joint function, reduce in-flammation,improve bone metabolism of patients with rheumatoid arthritis complicated with osteoporosis.
