Effect of butylphthalein combined with citicoline sodium on acute progressive cerebral infarction
Objective To explore the efficacy of butylphthalide combined with citicoline sodium in the treatment of acute progressive cerebral infarction and the effects on serum oxidative stress and inflammatory fac-tors.Methods A total of 120 patients with acute progressive cerebral infarction admitted to Shaoxing Central Hospital from January 2021 to February 2023 were retrospectively selected. The study subjects were divided into observation group and control group(60 cases in each group)according to whether they were treated with butylphthalide combined with citicoline sodium. The control group received conventional treatment, and the obser-vation group was treated with butylphthalide combined with citicoline sodium. The therapeutic efficacy of the pa-tients in the two groups were compared,as well as the values of serum malondialdehyde(MDA),oxide dismutase(SOD),plasma myeloperoxidase(MBP),interleukin-6(IL-6),C-reactive protein(CRP)and interleukin-8(IL-8)be-tween the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group(92%,55/60)was significantly higher than that of the control group(75%,45/60)(P<0.05).There was no statistical significance in MDA,SOD and MBP values between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05),After intervention, the MDA and MBP of the observa-tion group were lower than those of the control group, while the SOD of the observation group was higher than that of the control group. There was no statistical significance in the comparison of IL-6,CRP and IL-8 values between the two groups before intervention(P>0.05),and the values of IL-6,CRP and IL-8 in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Butylphthalide combined with citicoline sodium has a good efficacy in the treatment of acute progressive cerebral infarction, with good effects on serum ox-idative stress and inflammatory factors. It is worthy of further use in the clinic.
