Clinical curative effect of ulinastatin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate in children with sepsis
Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of ulinastatin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate in children with sepsis. Methods A total of 90 children with sepsis admitted to Jinhua Maternal and Child Health hospital were enrolled between September 2020 and September 2023.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into ulinastatin group(28 cases),methylprednisolone sodium succinate group(29 cases)and combination group(33 cases). On the basis of routine treatment, ulinastatin group was treated with ulinastatin, methylprednisolone sodium succinate group was treated with methylprednisolone sodium succinate, while combination group was treated with ulinastatin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate. After treatment, curative effect, the levels of inflammatory factors[C-reactive protein(CRP),tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1)],partial pressure of blood oxygen(PaO2),oxygenation index(PaO2/FiO2),extravascular lung water index(EVLWI)and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared among the three groups. Results After treatment, there was no significant difference in response rate of treatment between ulinastatin group and methylprednisolone sodium succinate group(P>0.05),but which in combination group was higher than that in the other two groups(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of inflammatory factors(CRP,TNF-α,sICAM-1)were all decreased in the three groups, which were lower in combination group than those in ulinastatin group and methylprednisolone sodium succinate group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of PaO2 and PaO2/FiO2 were increased, while the level of EVLWI was decreased compared with those before treatment among the three groups. After treatment, the levels of PaO 2 and PaO2/FiO2 in combination group were higher, while the EVLWI level was lower compared with ulinastatin group and methylprednone sodium succinate group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions among the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Ulinastatin combined with methylprednisolone sodium succinate can not only effectively improve response rate of treatment, but also reduce inflammatory response and infection in children with sepsis.
