Curative effect of new injury wet compress on joint swelling after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruc-tion under arthroscope
Objective To explore the clinical effect of new injury wet compress on knee swelling and pain after arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)reconstruction. Methods A total of 60 patients with arthroscopic ACL reconstruction were selected and divided into control group and treatment group with 30 cases in each group by random number table method in Changde Hospital Affiliated to Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to September 2023.The control group received conventional symptomatic treatment based on the PRICE principle after surgery, and the treatment group was treated with new wound wet compress on the basis of this. The visual analogue scale(VAS)score, knee swelling value and knee range of motion(ROM)were used to evaluate the improvement of knee swelling pain and motion at different time points in the two groups after surgery. Results On the first day after surgery, there was a statistically significant difference in VAS score between the two groups(P<0.05),and the VAS score of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group. At the 3rd and 7th day after surgery, there were statistically significant differences in knee swelling and VAS scores between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05),and the relevant indexes in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group. The improvement of knee flexion and extension motion(ROM)at the 3rd,5th and 7th day after surgery in the treatment group was better than that in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of new injury wet compress can effectively improve the joint swelling and pain after arthroscopic ACL reconstruction, and promote functional rehabilitation.
