Objective To observe the curative effect and intrinsic capacity change in elderly patients with coronary heart disease treated with Guanxinning Tablets.Methods A total of 200 elderly patients with coronary heart disease were randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group.Both groups were given con-ventional western medicine treatment,and the experimental group was added with Guanxinning Tablets,four tablets each time,three times a day by oral administration.The course of treatment was 12 weeks.Results There were no significant differences in angina score,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score and intrinsic capacity between the two groups before treatment(all P＞0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,the angina score,TCM syndrome score and the cognitive,motor and psychological dimensions of intrinsic capacity were all improved in the two groups(all P＜0.05).The improvement of angina score(t=7.366),TCM syndrome score(t=8.038),exercise(t=2.481)and psychological(t=5.066)dimensions of intrinsic capacity in the experimental group were better than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Guanxinning Tablets can improve angina pectoris symptoms and TCM symptoms of elderly patients with coronary heart disease,maintain intrinsic capacity and contribute to overall health.Under the background of healthy aging,the method of quantitative evaluation of intrinsic capacity provides a new idea for the evaluation of curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine.
