Effects and safety of propofol combined with esketamine on anesthetic in patients undergo-ing painless gastroscopy
Objective To explore the effects and safety of propofol combined with esketamine on anes-thetic in patients undergoing painless gastroscopy. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clini-cal data of 102 patients who underwent painless gastroscopy in Jiashan County Traditional Chinese Medicine Hos-pital,from January 2022 to January 2023.According to different anesthesia methods, the patients were divided in-to control group(propofol)and experimental group(propofol combined with esketamine). The propensity score matching method(caliper value=0.01)was used to exclude the confounding bias caused by the differences in baseline data between the two groups, and 51 patients were included in each group. The propofol dosage, drug on-set time, recovery time, and departure time of the two groups were compared. The changes in vital signs[heart rate(HR),respiratory rate(RR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)]during anesthesia, the Mini-Mental State Examination(MMES)score before and after the examination, and adverse reactions were also compared. Results The dosage of propofol, recovery time and departure time in the experiment group were all less than those in the control group(t=6.304,3.250,3.787,all P<0.05).The comparisons of HR,RR and MAP among groups,time-points and group x time points showed significant differences(FColumn=6.94,16.24,6.59,FRow=2.97,10.62,2.85,FInteraction=1.71,5.52,2.01,all P<0.05).After the examination, the recall, memory, orientation, and total score of the experimental group were obviously higher than those of the control group(t=4.151,2.622,1.984,all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(x2=1.774,P=0.183).Conclusion The combination of Propofol and esketamine for painless gastroscopy is relatively safe, with short postoperative recovery time, good hemodynamics and respiratory stability, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
