Effects of Feilike Mixture combined with oxygen-driven atomized terbutaline on lung function and oxida-tive stress in children with bronchial asthma
Objective To explore the effects of Feilike Mixture combined with oxygen-driven atomized terbutaline on lung function and oxidative stress in children with bronchial asthma.Methods A total of 150 children with bronchial asthma admitted to Ninghai Maternal and Child Health Hospital,Ningbo,from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group according to dif-ferent treatment methods,with 75 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oxygen-driven atomized terbutaline,and the observation group was treated with Feilike mixture combined with oxygen-driven atomized terbutaline on the basis of the control group.Symptom improvement,interleukin level(IL-6),lung function,oxida-tive stress index,treatment satisfaction,and adverse reactions were observed and compared between the two groups.Results The total disappearance time of cough,wheezing sound and wheezing in the control group were(6.98±1.04)d,(7.53±1.21)d,and(5.45±1.05)d,respectively;and those in the observation group were(5.27±1.01)d,(4.64±1.15)d,and(3.69±1.01)d,respectively.And the difference between the two groups was statistically sig-nificant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the IL-6 levels in the control group and the observation group were(68±7)g/L and(62±6)g/L,respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the FEV1,PEF,and FVC of the control group were(2.2±0.4)L,(4.1±0.7)Us,and(2.8±0.5)L,respectively,while those in the observation group were(2.6±0.6)L,(5.5±0.8)L/s,and(3.6±0.6)L,respectively.The differences were statisti-cally significant(P＜0.05).The treatment satisfaction rates in the control group and the observation group were 89％(67/75)and 97％(73/75)respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).In the control group,there were 12 cases(16％)of adverse reactions,including 7 cases of severe cough,3 cases of purple lips,and 2 cases of treatment termination.In the observation group,there were 4 cases(5％)of adverse reactions,in-cluding 2 cases of severe cough,1 case of purple lips,and 1 case of treatment termination.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of Feilike Mixture and oxy-gen-driven atomized terbutaline can rapidly alleviate the clinical symptoms of children with bronchial asthma,im-prove serum IL-6 levels,enhance lung function,regulate oxidative stress indicators,promote patient recovery,and improve the satisfaction of children and their families with treatment.
