Effects of vitrectomy combined with triamcinolone injection in patients with idiopathic anterior macular membrane
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect of vitrectomy+internal boundary membrane stripping combined with triamcinolone injection in idiopathic anterior macular membrane. Methods A retrospective study was conducted according to different treatment groups, and patients with idiopathic anterior macular membrane admitted to Nanyang Eye Hospital between May 2021 and May 2023 were divided into a control group(53 cases)and a observation group(54 cases). In the control group,23 G vitrectomy combined with internal boundary membrane removal was applied, and the observation group received triamcinolone intrabulbar injection on the basis of the above. The visual acuity level and central macular retinal thickness at 1,3,and 6 months after surgery, and at 1,3,and 6 months, and the occurrence of complications were compared. Results Compared with the control group, the visual acuity increased significantly at 1,3,and 6 months, and the observation group increased at 1 week and 1,3,and 6 months than the control group;the control group increased at 1 week and 1,3,and 6 months;the macular foveal thickness decreased 1 month after surgery;the observation group was significantly lower compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of vitrectomy+internal boundary membrane stripping combined with triamcinolone injection has a definite therapeutic effect on idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane, which can significantly improve patients'vision and reduce macular edema. This treatment method can be further promoted.
