Short-term efficacy of escitalopram combined with mentalization-based family therapy in the treatment of first-episode adolescent depression
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of escitalopram combined with mindfulness-based family therapy in patients with first-episode adolescent depression. Methods A total of 130 cases of first-episode adolescent depression patients who attended the Seventh People ' s Hospital of Wenzhou City from May 2021 to December 2023 were selected, and were divided into a control group and a study group according to the treatment methods, with 65 cases in each group. The control group was treated with escitalopram, while the study group was treated with escitalopram combined with mentalization-based family therapy. The treatment effects of the two groups were compared. Results After 3 months of treatment, the Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WSCT) completion scores in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, while the number of persistent errors and incorrect responses were significantly lower than those in the control group ( t=6.468,7.008,10.204,all P<0.05). After 3 months of treatment, the visual, auditory, and comprehensive attention quotient of the trial listen-ing integrated continuous operation experimental software (IVA-CPT) in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group (t=12.725,4.583,6.742,all P<0.05). After 1,2,and 3 months of treatment, the Beck Suicidal Ideation Inventory Chinese Version (BSI-CV) scores of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scores were significantly lower than those of the control group (t=9.136,3.412,all P<0.05). Conclusion The combination of escitalopram and cognitive home therapy can further improve cognitive function, enhance cold executive function, reduce suicidal ideation, and help improve sleep quality in first-episode adolescent depression patients. It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
