Effects of ozone combined with lidocaine pain point injection on pain and serum inflammatory factor levels in patients with chronic lumbar muscle strain
Objective To explore the clinical effect of ozone combined with lidocaine pain point injection in patients with chronic lumbar muscle strain. Methods According to the random number table,a total of 80 pa-tients with chronic lumbar muscle strain admitted to Zhengzhou Bone Injury Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to August 2023 were divided into a study group (40 cases) and a control group (40 cas-es). The control group was treated with lidocaine pain point injection, while the study group received ozone therapy in addition to the same treatment as the control group. Both groups were treated for 1 course of treatment. The clinical efficacy, pain scale (VAS),lumbar function (JOA),lumbar dysfunction index (ODI),inflammatory factors, lumbar motion and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the treatment in the research group was significantly higher than that in the control group (92% vs 75%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the VAS and ODI scores,inter-leukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels in the study group were lower after treatment, but the JOA score was higher, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Compared with the control group, the study group showed significantly higher waist mobility in all directions after treatment ( P<0.05). There were no adverse reactions during treatment in both groups. Conclusion The treatment effect of ozone combined with lido-caine pain point injection in patients with chronic lumbar muscle strain is significant, which can help to alleviate lumbar pain, improve lumbar function, inhibit the level of inflammatory factors, enhance lumbar motion, and re-duce lumbar dysfunction, without obvious adverse reactions, and is safe and reliable, worthy of promotion and ap-plication.
