Effects of vitamin D combined with hypoglycemic therapy on blood glucose index and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes
Objective To investigate the effect of vitamin D combined with hypoglycemic therapy on blood glucose index and pregnancy outcome in patients with gestational diabetes. Methods According to the ran-dom number table method,a total of 102 gestational diabetes patients treated in Zhoukou Maternal and Child Health Hospital (Zhoukou Children's Hospital) from August 2021 to October 2023 were divided into a control group (51 cases) and a study group (51 cases). The control group received conventional hypoglycemic treatment, while the study group received vitamin D in addition to the above treatment. The medication was taken for one month and observed until delivery. The clinical indicators (blood glucose, pancreatic function, biochemical indica-tors) and pregnancy outcomes of two groups of pregnant women were compared. Results The improvement of each treatment was more obvious than the control group (t=3.431,6.132,6.214 and 13.262,P<0.05).After treat-ment,the islet β-cell function index and insulin sensitivity index were improved compared with the control group (t=7.425,8.857),and the insulin resistance index was decreased (t=8.857,P<0.05).In two pregnant women,25-(OH) D and BMI were improved, and the effect was more obvious in the study group (t=15.280,5.048,P<0.05).After treatment, both groups of pregnant women in the study group showed a decrease in leptin and leptin levels, which were lower than those in the control group (t=7.148,2.176,P<0.05).After treatment, the total incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group ( X2=2.981,P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of hypoglycemic drug treatment, vitamin D can effectively alleviate insulin re-sistance,control blood glucose fluctuations, improve pregnancy outcomes, and is effective and safe.
