Effects of glucocorticoid assisted Yiqi Bufei Decoction on lung function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
Objective To explore the effect of glucocorticoids combined with Yiqi Bufei Decoction on lung function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD). Methods A total of 97 hospitalized AECOPD patients who received treatment in Lishui People 's Hospital from January 2019 to June 2021 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into a control group and an observation group according to their different treatment methods,with 50 patients in the control group and 47 patients in the observation group. Both groups of patients received routine basic treatment,while the control group received nebu-lization and oral administration of prednisolone acetate tablets. The observation group patients were treated with Yiqi Bufei Decoction in addition to the control group. The clinical efficacy,pulmonary function at discharge,blood gas analysis indicators,traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,modified dyspnea scale (mMRC) scores,and adverse reactions of two groups were analyzed and compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (93.6％ vs 78.0％,x2=4.784,P<0.05);the duration of asthma (52.4±9.7)h and hospital stay (10.1±2.5)d in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group (59.1±10.4)h and hospital stay (12.9±2.1) d (t=3.276,5.986,all P<0.05). Compared with before treatment,the blood gas analysis indicators,lung function indicators,mMRC,and traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores of both groups improved 2 weeks after treatment,and the observation group was better than the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion On the basis of conventional treatment,the use of nebulization combined with gluco-corticoids to assist in the treatment of AECOPD with Yiqi Bufei Decoction has a definite therapeutic effect,alle-viates patients' clinical symptoms,and has high safety.
