Study on the Relationship between Serum 25-(OH)D3 Level and Nutritional Metabolism in Children with Simple Obesity
Objective:To explore the relationship between serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3[25-(OH)D3]level and nutritional metabolism in children with simple obesity.Method:A retrospective study was conducted on 196 children with simple obesity who were treated in the Department of Pediatric,Maternity and Child Health Care of Rizhao from January 2018 to December 2022.According to serum 25-(OH)D3 levels, they were divided into vitamin D(VitD)adequate group(n=20),VitD under group(n=95)and VitD deficiency group(n=81).The general data, glucose metabolism indexes, blood lipid levels and immune function of the three groups were compared, and the correlation between serum 25-(OH)D3 level and glycolipid metabolism indexes were analyzed.Result:There were no significant differences in age, gender, height, weight and body mass index(BMI)among the three groups(P>0.05).The 25-(OH)D3 levels of the three groups were compared, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in fasting blood glucose(FBG)level among the three groups(P>0.05).The fasting insulin(FIN)and insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)of the three groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The FIN and HOMA-IR of VitD deficiency group were higher than those of VitD adequate group and VitD under group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the levels of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein-cholesterol(LDL-C)and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol(HDL-C)among the three groups(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in CD8+ among the three groups(P>0.05).The CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ of the three groups were compared, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in VitD deficiency group were lower than those in VitD adequate group and VitD under group(P<0.05).Serum 25-(OH)D3 levels were negatively correlated with FIN and HOMA-IR in children with simple obesity(P<0.05).Conclusion:Children with simple obesity tend to have VitD deficiency, which will affect their glucose metabolism and immune function, but has little effect on lipid level.
