Clinical Observation of Methylprednisolone Combined with Morphine in Relieving Dyspnea of End-stage Lung Cancer
Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of Methylprednisolone combined with Morphine and Morphine alone in relieving dyspnea in patients with end-stage lung cancer.Method:A total of 80 patients with dyspnea from end-stage lung cancer admitted to Taizhou City Hospital of Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected, they were divided into a control group and an observation group based on different medication regimens, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Morphine, and the observation group was treated with Methylprednisolone combined with Morphine. The symptoms of dyspnea[visual analogue scales(VAS)score],onset and maintenance time of dyspnea control, vital signs(heart rate, respiratory rate),blood oxygen saturation and adverse reactions(respiratory depression, lethargy)were compared between the two groups.Result:After treatment, the VAS score in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The onset time of dyspnea in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group, and maintenance time was longer than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the heart rate and respiratory rate in the observation group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the blood oxygen saturation in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was compared with that in the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:The application of Methylprednisolone combined with Morphine in patients with end-stage lung cancer dyspnea has a significant effect, can significantly alleviate the symptoms of patients, stabilize their vital signs, improve the level of blood oxygen saturation, have fewer adverse reactions, and have good efficacy and safety.
