Impact of Nd:YAG Lacrimal Duct Laser Combined with Lacrimal Drainage Tube Insertion on the Efficacy and Complications in Patients with Obstruction of Lacrimal Passage
Objective:To investigate the impact of Nd:YAG lacrimal duct laser combined with lacrimal drainage tube insertion on the efficacy and complications in patients with obstruction of lacrimal passage.Method:A total of 102 patients with obstruction of lacrimal passage treated in Hai'an City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from February 2018 to February 2023 were selected as research subjects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 51 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional nasolacrimal duct reconstruction surgery, while the observation group was treated with Nd:YAG lacrimal duct laser combined with lacrimal drainage tube insertion. The total efficacy rate, complication occurrence rate and ocular surface condition of two groups were compared.Result:1 month after surgery, the total treatment efficacy rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication occurrence rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the tear secretion volume and tear film break-up time between the two groups before and 2 months after surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion:For patients with obstruction of lacrimal passage,Nd:YAG lacrimal duct laser combined with lacrimal drainage tube insertion can significantly improve the treatment efficacy rate of patients, reduce the occurrence rate of complications, and does not affect the ocular surface condition.
