Clinical Effect of Valacyclovir Combined with Mecobalamin in the Treatment of Herpes Zoster
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Valaciclovir combined with Mecobalamine in the treatment of herpes zoster.Method:A total of 102 patients with herpes zoster treated in the Third People's Hospital of Fengcheng City from January 2020 to January 2022 were selected as research objects. They were divided into reference group and study group by envelope method. All patients received conventional treatment, and 51 patients in the reference group received Mecobalamine in addition to conventional treatment. The 51 patients in the study group received Valaciclovir on the above basis. The total effective rate and recovery time of the two groups were compared. The pain, sleep quality and inflammatory indicators[neutrophils(NEU),lymphocytes(LYM)and hypersensitive C reactive protein(hs-CRP)]were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Result:The total effective rate of the study group(96.08%)was higher than that of the reference group(82.35%),the difference was statistically significant(x2=4.993,P<0.05).The time of skin healing, herpes dry scab and local pain disappearance in the study group were earlier than those in the reference group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the numerical rating scale(NRS)and Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scores of the study group were lower than those of the reference group, and the levels of NEU,LYM and hs-CRP were lower than those of the reference group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of Valacyclovir combined with Mecobalamin in patients with herpes zoster has an ideal effect. This treatment scheme can promote the disappearance of clinical symptoms, relieve pain, improve sleep quality, and reduce the level of inflammation.
