Research Progress of Common Complications after Decompressive Craniectomy for Severe Craniocerebral Injury
Decompressive craniectomy(DC)is one of the main surgical methods for the treatment of severe traumatic brain injury(STBI).The main surgical method is to remove part of the skull, open the dura mater and compensate the volume of the cranial cavity, thereby reducing the pressure of swelling brain tissue and hematoma on important brain functional areas and brainstem. There are many complications after DC in STBI,such as intracranial infection, subdural effusion, hydrocephalus, traumatic epilepsy, encephalocele, incisional hernia, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, large area cerebral infarction, etc.,which may lead to poor prognosis. The occurrence and treatment of complications after DC in STBI are summarized as follows.
