The Impact of Family Empowerment Nursing Model on Self-efficacy and Feeding Rate of Breastfeeding in Primipara
Objective:To explore the impact of family empowerment nursing model on self-efficacy and feeding rate of breastfeeding in primipara.Method:A total of 100 primipara who underwent registered delivery in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Yichun City Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from May 2021 to September 2022,divided them into a control group and an experimental group of 50 primiparous women by random number table method.The control group received routine nursing,while the experimental group implemented a family empowerment nursing model.The family support for breastfeeding,self-efficacy of breastfeeding,and breastfeeding rates between two groups of primiparous women were compared and analyzed.Result:Before nursing,there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of the breastfeeding family support questionnaire and the Chinese version of the breastfeeding self-efficacy scale short form(BSES-SF)between the two groups of primpara(P>0.05);after 2 months postpartum,the scores of the breastfeeding family support questionnaire in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);after 2 months postpartum,the BSES-SF score of the Chinese version in experimental group was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The breastfeeding rates of the experimental group at 1 month and 2 months were 88.00%and 90.00%,respectively,which were significantly higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The family empowerment nursing model can obtain support from families for breastfeeding of primipara,improve self-efficacy and breastfeeding rate.
