Clinical Comparison Study of Minimally Invasive Tooth Extraction and Traditional Tooth Extraction in the Treatment of Ambush Impacted Wisdom Teeth
Objective:To explore the clinical effect of minimally invasive tooth extraction and traditional tooth extraction in the treatment of ambush impacted wisdom teeth.Method:A total of 80 patients with ambush impacted wisdom teeth admitted to Pingxiang People's Hospital from January 2019 to January 2023 were selected, and were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 40 cases in each group.Traditional tooth extraction was used in control group, and new minimally invasive tooth extraction was adopted in observation group. The pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)],bleeding[sulcus bleeding index(SBI)],complications and anxiety[Corah dental anxiety scale(DAS)]were compared between the two groups.Result:At 1 day,3 days and 1 week after surgery,VAS scores and SBI scores in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in observation group at 1 week after surgery was lower than that in control group(P<0.05).The DAS scores in observation group were lower than those in control group before surgery and at 30 minutes after surgery(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with traditional tooth extraction, minimally invasive tooth extraction has less pain, less blood loss and lower complication rate, which can relieve patients'anxiety and is suitable for clinical extraction of impacted wisdom teeth.
