Effect of Virtual Reality Technology-based Traditional Chinese Medicine Training on Cardiac Function and Quality of Life of Patients with Dilated Cardiomyopathy
Objective:To investigate the effect of virtual reality(VR)technology-based traditional Chinese medicine training on cardiac function and quality of life of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM).Method:A total of 60 patients with DCM who were admitted to the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine,Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method,with 30 patients in each group.The control group received routine nursing.On this basis,the observation group received VR technology-based traditional Chinese medicine training.All patients received 3 months of continuous intervention.Left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD),N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP),6-minute walking test(6MWT)results and the Minnesota living with heart failure questionnaire(MLHFQ)scores in the two groups were statistically analyzed on the first day of admission and 3 months after intervention.Result:Compared with the first day after admission,LVEF increased,LVEDD,LVESD and NT-proBNP decreased,and 6MWT were prolonged after 3 months of intervention in two groups,the above indicators in the observation group were better than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the first day after admission,the scores of the physical domain,emotional domain,other domains and MLHFQ total scores were decreased in the two groups after 3 months of intervention,and the above scores of the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with DCM,VR technology-based traditional Chinese medicine training can effectively improve their cardiac function,lower NT-proBNP level,prolong 6MWT and improve the quality of life.
