Research Progress in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis with Cold and Damp Paralysis
Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease, the pathogenesis of which is not yet clear.Western medical treatment aims to treat the disease effectively and quickly, mainly through a combination of drugs and surgery to improve the patient's symptoms, but in the long run the adverse effects are more pronounced.RA is classified as a paralysis in Chinese medicine, with cold and damp paralysis being the most common type, and Chinese medicine treatment is based on"toning",which is often stable, mild, safe and inexpensive.Combining Chinese and western medicine to complement each other has the advantage of reducing toxicity and increasing effectiveness. The following is a review of the pathogenesis of RA,Chinese medicine and the combined treatment of Chinese and western medicine to provide reference for the clinical treatment of this disease.
