Research Progress on the Impact of Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum on Language Acquisition in Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is a kind of disorder characterized by stereotyped behavior and social disorder.Agenesis of the corpus callosum(AgCC)is a congenital brain malformation clinically,which can be divided into partial absence and complete absence.Because ASD has no clear cause but has many similarities with AgCC in clinical manifestations,most ASD patients are found to have AgCC at the same time.Language disorder is the most intuitive manifestation of the patients,and it is also the focus and difficulty for the improvement of social interaction function of ASD patients.At present,the language dysfunction caused by ASD patients accompanied with AgCC has attracted worldwide attention.In terms of diagnosis and intervention of ASD patients,China has invested a lot of financial and medical resources every year,which create a huge economic burden on families and society.This paper mainly reviews the overview of ASD and AgCC,the relation between ASD and AgCC,and the influence of ASD patients accompanied with AgCC on language ability.It is expected to have a more intuitive understanding of the language dysfunction caused by ASD accompanied with AgCC in the future,and provide theoretical support for the language dysfunction of ASD patients.
