Clinical Effect of Xylometazoline Nasal Drops Combined with Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation in Treating Children with Secretory Otitis Media
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Xylometazoline Nasal Drops combined with Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation in the treatment of children's secretory otitis media and its effect on the levels of soluble interleukin 2 receptor(sIL-2R)and T lymphocyte subsets.Method:A total of 95 children with secretory otitis media admitted in the First People's Hospital of Bijie from March 2021 to May 2022 were randomly divided into the experimental group(47 cases)and the control group(48 cases). The control group of children were treated with tympanic membrane puncture, antibiotics, and Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation. On this basis, the experimental group was treated with Xylometazoline Nasal Drops. The treatment effects, tympanic pressure and gas conduction hearing threshold before and after treatment, levels of sIL-2R and T lymphocyte subsets before and after treatment, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups of children.Result:The effective rate of treatment in the experimental group(91.49%)was higher than that(75.00%)in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no differences in tympanic pressure and air conduction hearing threshold between the two groups of children(P>0.05);after treatment, the tympanic pressure and air conduction hearing threshold of both groups of children improved compared to before treatment(P<0.05),and the tympanic pressure and air conduction hearing threshold of the experimental group were better than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no differenced in sIL-2R,cluster of differentiation(CD)3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+T lymphocytes between the two groups of children(P>0.05);after treatment, the levels of sIL-2R,CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+T lymphocytes in both groups of children were lower than before treatment, the CD8+ T lymphocytes in both groups of children were higher than before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of sIL-2R,CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+T lymphocytes in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, while CD8+T lymphocytes in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups of children(P>0.05).Conclusion:The clinical effect of Xylometazoline Nasal Drops combined with Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation in the treatment of pediatric secretory otitis media is definite, and it can adjust the immune function of the body by affecting sIL-2R and T lymphocyte subsets, with little side effects.
