Clinical Effect of Tenghuang Jiangu Capsules Combined with Calcium Carbonate D3 Tablets and Zoledronic Acid Injection in the Treatment of Senile Osteoporosis
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of Tenghuang Jiangu Capsules combined with Calcium Carbonate D3 Tablets and Zoledronic Acid Injection in the treatment of senile osteoporosis(OP).Method:A total of sixty elderly patients with OP admitted to the Third Hospital of Nanchang from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected,and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with 30 cases in each group.Two groups were given corresponding conventional treatment,the control group was treated with Calcium Carbonate D3 Tablets and Zoledronic Acid Injection,while the observation group was treated with Tenghuang Jiangu Capsules based on the the control group.Clinical efficacy,bone mineral density(BMD),pain degree,the levels of bone metabolism markers,and the incidence of fracture were compared between the groups.Result:The total effective rate in the observation group(96.67%)was significantly higher than that in the control group(80.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment,BMD of lumbar vertebra,femoral neck and Wards triangle area in both groups were increased,and those in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After 3,6 months of treatment,the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of both groups were decreased,and those in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,serum procollagen type ⅠN-terminal propeptide(PⅠNP),carboxy-terminal cross-linked telopeptide of type Ⅰ collagen(CTX)levels in both groups decreased,and the those in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of fractures in the observation group(6.67%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(30.00%)(P<0.05).Conclusion:Tenghuang Jiangu Capsules combined with Calcium Carbonate D3 Tablets and Zoledronic Acid Injection is effective in the treatment of senile OP,can improve the patients'BMD,alleviate pain,lower the levels of bone metabolism markers,and reduce the incidence of fracture.
