Both sarcopenia and osteoarthritis(OA)are age-related diseases,and the prevalence rate is increasing year by year.In recent years,there have been some research reports at home and abroad that OA and sarcopenia are closely related and often accompanied,but the specific mechanism of their correlation is still unclear.In recent years,scholars at home and abroad continue to deepen the study of both,and the pathogenesis of sarcopenia and OA and the relationship between them are gradually clear.This article summarizes the research on the correlation between sarcopenia and OA at home and abroad in recent years from the definition,epidemiology,pathogenesis,diagnosis and prevention measures,hoping to provide some reference and guidance for the diagnosis and prevention of the two diseases.
