Comparison of the Application of Remimazolam and Propofol in Elderly Patients Undergoing Abdominal Surgery under Tracheal Intubation General Anesthesia
Objective:To explore the application effect of Remimazolam and Propofol in elderly patients underwent abdominal surgery under tracheal intubation general anesthesia.Method:A total of 110 elderly patients underwent abdominal surgery admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January to October 2022 were selected as the study objects and divided into Remimazolam group and Propofol group according to random number table method,with 55 cases in each group.Remimazolam group was treated with Remimazolam for anesthesia induction and maintenance,and Propofol group was treated with Propofol for anesthesia induction and maintenance.Hemodynamics[heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)],intraoperative related drugs use situation(Norepinephrine dosage,Dopamine dosage),respiratory depression situation at different time points[respiratory rate(RR),percutaneous arterial oxygen saturation(SpO2)]and microcirculation perfusion situation(blood lactic acid concentration)and the quality of postoperative recovery[recovery time,Richmond agitation and sedation scale(RASS)]of the two groups were observed.Result:There were no significant differences in SpO2 at T1,T2 and T3 and RR at T2 and T3 between the two groups(P>0.05).HR,MAP at T1,T2,T3 and RR at T1 in Remimazolam group were higher than those in Propofol group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The dosage of Norepinephrine and Dopamine in Remimazolam group were lower than those in Propofol group,the blood lactic acid concentration was lower than that in Propofol group,the recovery time was shorter than that in Propofol group,and the calm rate was higher than that in Propofol group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with Propofol,the application of Remimazolam in abdominal surgery for elderly patients under tracheal intubation general anesthesia has less influence on hemodynamics and respiratory depression,and the quality of postoperative recovery is higher.
