Clinical Efficacy of Modified Baitouweng Decoction and Yipi Qushi Lichang Decoction in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis of Colorectal Dampness Heat Type
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of modified Baitouweng Decoction and Yipi Qushi Lichang Decoction in patients with ulcerative colitis(UC)of colorectal dampness heat type.Method:A total of 86 patients with UC of colorectal dampness heat type who were admitted in the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to February 2023 were selected, and divided into the study group(43 cases)and the control group(43 cases)by random number table method. The control group was treated with modified Baitouweng Decoction, while the study group was treated with modified Baitouweng Decoction and Yipi Qushi Lichang Decoction. Both groups were treated for 6 weeks. The clinical efficacy, intestinal mucosal barrier function, inflammatory factor levels, and adverse reactions in both groups were compared.Result:In comparision of the control group(74.42%),the total effective rate of the study group(90.70%)was higher, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of D-LA,BT and DAO were decreased in both groups, and in comparision of the control group, those in the study group were lower, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of IL-17 and IL-23 in both groups were decreased, and in comparision of the control group, those in the study group were lower, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the study group(6.98%)and the control group(2.33%)(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of modified Baitouweng Decoction and Yipi Qushi Lichang Decoction can improve clinical efficacy, intestinal mucosal barrier function, inflammatory factor levels, and safety in patients with UC of colorectal dampness heat type.
