Clinical Effect of Closed Reduction and Interlocking Intramedullary Nail Fixation Through the Femoral Trochanteric Approach in the Treatment of Femoral Shaft Fractures
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nail fixation through the femoral trochanteric approach in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures.Method:A total of 118 patients with femoral shaft fractures admitted to Orthopedics Department of the Third People's Hospital of Liaocheng City from September 2020 to September 2022 were selected as the study subjects, they were divided into two groups according to reduction methods, one group was the control group and the other group was the experimental group.59 patients in the control group were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail and internal fixation through open reduction femoral trochanteric approach,59 patients in the experimental group were treated with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation through closed reduction femoral trochanteric approach. The joint mobility function, clinical effect, length of hospital stay and fracture healing time, incidence of adverse events and serum inflammatory factor levels were compared between the two groups.Result:After 6 months of surgery, the joint activity score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the experimental group(98.31%)was higher than that of the control group(86.44%)(P<0.05).The length of hospitalization and fracture healing time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the experimental group(1.69%)was lower than that in the control group(15.25%)(P<0.05).The serum inflammatory factor levels in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of closed reduction method combined with interlocking intramedullary nail fixation through the femoral trochanteric approach for the treatment of femoral shaft fractures has good clinical efficacy, closed reduction can shorten patients'hospitalization time, shorten fracture healing time, improve joint mobility, reduce the incidence of adverse events, and improve inflammatory factor levels, which is of great clinical significance.
