Comparison of the Application Effect of Different Prostheses in Total Knee Arthroplasty for Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis
Objective:To compare the effects of different prostheses on total knee arthroplasty in patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Method:The medical records of 80 patients with KOA treated in Lushan Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Center of the Joint Support Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army from April 2020 to April 2023 were retrospectively selected for research, and they were divided into group A(fixed platform prosthesis)and group B(high flexion rotating platform prosthesis)according to the types of prostheses used in total knee arthroplasty, with 40 cases in each group. The perioperative related indicator(operation time, intraoperative bleeding volume, drainage tube removal time, hospitalization time),knee joint function[Lysholm knee joint score,Western Ontario and McMaster University(WOMAC)osteoarthritis index score],inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),C reactive protein(CRP)]and postoperative complications were compared between the two groups.Result:There were no significant differences in perioperative related indicator between the two groups(P>0.05).3 months after surgery,Lysholm knee joint scores in both groups were significantly increased, and that in group B was higher than that in group A,and the WOMAC osteoarthritis index scores in both groups were significantly decreased, and that in group B was lower than that in group A,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).1 day before discharge,IL-6 and CRP in both groups were significantly decreased, and those in group B were lower than those in group A,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Both high flexion rotating platform prosthesis and fixed platform prosthesis can achieve good surgical results, but compared with fixed platform prosthesis, high flexion rotating platform prosthesis can significantly improve knee joint function after total knee arthroplasty in patients with KOA,and can improve postoperative inflammation condition.
