Effect of Houpo Paiqi Mixture on Gastrointestinal Function Recovery,Lactation Start Time and First Lactation Volume after Repeated Cesarean Section of Scarred Uterus Puerpera
Objective:To investigate the effect of Houpo Paiqi Mixture on gastrointestinal function recovery,lactation initiation time and first lactation volume after repeated cesarean section of scarred uterus puerpera.Method:The clinical data of 91 puerpera with scarred uterus who underwent cesarean section again admitted to Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital from September 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,37 patients who received routine treatment were included in the conventional group,and 54 patients who received Houpo Paiqi Mixture on the basis of the conventional group were included in the traditional Chinese medicine group.The recovery of gastrointestinal function(first anal exhaust time,recovery time of bowel sounds,first defecation time),serum gastrointestinal hormones[motilin(MTL),vasoactive intestinal peptide(VIP),gastrin(GAS)],degree of abdominal distension,start time of lactation,first lactation volume,breast distending pain,length of hospital stay and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The lactation start time,the first anal exhaust time,the recovery time of bowel sounds,the first defecation time and the length of hospital stay in the traditional Chinese medicine group were shorter than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).48 hours after surgery,the levels of GAS and MTL in the two groups increased,and the levels of VIP decreased,and the levels of serum gastrointestinal hormones in the traditional Chinese medicine group were better than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).48 hours after surgery,the degree of abdominal distension in the traditional Chinese medicine group was lighter than that in the conventional group(P<0.05),and breast distending pain in the traditional Chinese medicine group was less than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).The first lactation volume in the traditional Chinese medicine group was more than that in the conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the traditional Chinese medicine group was lower than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Houpo Paiqi Mixture can regulate the level of gastrointestinal hormones,effectively promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function after cesarean section in women with scarred uterus,shorten the time of first lactation,increase the amount of lactation,reduce the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce the occurrence of complications,and promote maternal rehabilitation.
