Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy with Targeted Retinal Photocoagulation
Objective:To investigate the application of artificial intelligence(AI)in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy(DR)with targeted retinal photocoagulation(TRP).Method:Sixty patients with DR admitted to Xin Steel Center Hospital from April 2020 to March 2023 were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 30 patients in each group. Both groups were treated with Conbercept, the control group combined with panretinal photocoagulation(PRP)and the study group combined with AI TRP.The clinical effect, visual improvement,bleeding/oozing blood and complication rate of the two groups were observed.Result:The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);1 month after operation, the thickness of retina and optic nerve fiber layer in both groups were thinner than those before operation(P<0.05),but there were no statistical significances between the two groups(P>0.05);1 month after surgery, the fundus bleeding/oozing blood in the study group was better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidences of corneal edema and eye pain in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),there were no significant differences in the incidences of other complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:Compared with PRP in the treatment of DR,TRP under AI has better effect, better bleeding/bleeding situation, and will not affect the improvement of postoperative visual acuity of patients, and has higher safety.
