Effects of NB-UVB Combined with Levocetirizine on EOS and IgE Levels in Children with Atopic Dermatitis
Objective:To investigate the effects of narrow bound ultra violet B light(NB-UVB)combined with Levocetirizine on eosinophile(EOS)and immunoglobulin E(IgE)levels in children with atopic dermatitis.Method:A total of 102 children with atopic dermatitis admitted to Jiujiang University Affiliated Hospital from January 2020 to June 2023 were selected and divided into experimental group(51 cases)and conventional group(51 cases)according to random number table method. The conventional group was treated with NB-UVB,and the experimental group was treated with NB-UVB combined with Levocetirizine. After treatment, the clinical efficacy of the children was evaluated, and the changes of scoring atopic dermatitis(SCORAD),EOS and serum total IgE before and after treatment were compared, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment were statistically compared.Result:The total effective rate of the experimental group and the conventional group was 94.12%and 78.43%,respectively,and that in the experimental group was higher than that in the conventional group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the SCORAD in the two groups were decreased compared to those before treatment, that in the experimental group was lower than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in serum EOS and IgE levels between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);after treatment, the serum EOS and IgE levels in both groups were decreased compared to those before treatment, the serum EOS and IgE levels in the experimental group were lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reaction between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:NB-UVB combined with Levocetirizine can improve the clinical efficacy of children with atopic dermatitis, promote recovery, reduce serum EOS and IgE levels, and have high safety.
