Effects of Benefiting Qi and Nourishing Yin Method Combined with Metformin on Insulin Resistance and Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 in the Treatment of NAFLD
Objective:To explore the effects of benefiting Qi and nourishing Yin method combined with Metformin on insulin resistance and insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1)in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Method:A total of 80 patients with NAFLD who were treated in Jiujiang NO.1 People's Hospital from January 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into experimental group(n=40)and control group(n=40)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with Metformin, and the experimental group was treated with Metformin combined with benefiting Qi and nourishing Yin method. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, blood lipid levels, liver function indexes, insulin resistance and IGF-1 were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of control group(x2=6.275,P=0.012).After treatment, total cholesterol(TC)and triglyceride(TG)levels in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and TC and TG levels in experimental group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of γ-glutamyltransferase(γ-GT)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and γ-GT and AST levels in experimental group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).After treatment, insulin resistance were decreased and IGF-1 levels were increased in both groups compared with those before treatment, insulin resistance in experimental group was lower than that in control group,IGF-1 level was higher than that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Benefiting Qi and nourishing Yin method combined with Metformin can improve blood lipid levels, liver function and insulin resistance in patients with NAFLD,and improve the therapeutic effect.
