Effect of Informatization Platform-based Continuing Care on Ostomy Care Knowledge,Quality of Life and Adverse Events in Patients with Enterostomy
Objective:To explore the effect of informatization platform-based continuing care on ostomy care knowledge, quality of life and adverse events in patients with enterostomy.Method:Using the random number table method,84 patients with colorectal cancer who underwent permanent colostomy at Pingxiang NO.2 People's Hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were divided into the experimental group and the control group, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention and the experimental group received informatization platform-based continuing care on this basis. The mastery level of ostomy care knowledge, incidence of adverse events, quality of life, and satisfaction with guidance for ostomy care were compared between the two groups.Result:After intervention, the scores of understanding of ostomy related nursing knowledge in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of colostomy complications between the two groups(P>0.05);a month after discharge, quality of life of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the total score for satisfaction with guidance for ostomy care of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying informatization platform-based continuing care to patients with enterostomy can effectively increase their ostomy care knowledge, and improve the quality of life as well as satisfaction with guidance for ostomy care.
