Comprehensive Rehabilitation to Reduce Recurrence Rate of Nonspecific Lower Back Pain
Objective:To investigate the application of comprehensive rehabilitation treatment in the clinical recovery of patients with chronic nonspecific lower back pain, and explore its impact on the relief of lower back pain, improvement of core muscle strength, and recurrence rate of low back pain.Method:From September 2022 to March 2023,a total of 60 patients with nonspecific low back pain at 989th Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army were randomly divided into conventional treatment group and comprehensive rehabilitation group. The conventional treatment group was treated with assistive devices,non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and plasters. The comprehensive rehabilitation group was treated by exercise therapy combined with physical factors on the basis of the conventional treatment group. After 2 and 4 weeks of treatment, the pain and dysfunction index of the two groups were evaluated, and the patients were visited again after 6 months to analyze the recurrence rate.Result:After 2 weeks of treatment, visual analogue scale(VAS),low back pain rating index(PRI)and Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)in the comprehensive rehabilitation group were better than those in the conventional treatment group(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in present pain intensity(PPI)of low back pain(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the observation indexes(VAS,PRI,ODI,PPI)in the comprehensive rehabilitation group were better than those of routine treatment group, after 6 months of treatment, the recurrence rate in the comprehensive rehabilitation group was lower than that of routine treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Comprehensive rehabilitation treatment has a significant effect on relieving lower back pain symptoms, enhancing core muscle strength, restoring lumbar function, and reducing the recurrence rate.
