Curative Effect of Oral and Vaginal Posterior Fornix Administration of Misoprostol on Cervical Ripening and Influences on Maternal and Neonatal Outcomes in Full-term Pregnant Women
Objective:To explore the curative effect of oral and vaginal posterior fornix administration of Misoprostol on cervical ripening and influences on maternal and neonatal outcomes in full-term pregnant women.Method:A total of 80 full-term pregnant women with immature cervical conditions admitted to Obstetrics Department of Shangrao Municipal Hospital between January 2020 and December 2023.According to random number table method, they were divided into group A and group B,with 40 cases in each group.Group A received oral misoprostol, while group B received Misoprostol via the vaginal fornix administration. The response rate of cervical ripening, labor induction related indexes, maternal and neonatal outcomes, incidence of complications during labor induction and incidence of adverse reactions during medication were compared between the two groups.Result:There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate of cervical ripening promotion between group A and group B full-term pregnant women(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the interval from labor induction to labor, total stage of labor or medication frequency between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence rates of excessive uterine contraction and precipitate labor in group A were 5.00%and 0,which were significantly lower than 20.00%and 15.00%in group B,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions during medication in group A was 7.50%,which was lower than 25.00%in group B,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Oral and vaginal posterior fornix administration of Misoprostol have the similar curative effect on cervical ripening in full-term pregnant women. However, oral administration can increase success rate of vaginal delivery and improve maternal and neonatal outcomes, with higher safety.
