Effect of Budesonide Combined with Erythromycin in Children with Pertussis
Objective:To investigate the effect of Budesonide combined with Erythromycin in the treatment of children with pertussis.Method:A total of 96 children with pertussis treated in Ganzhou Maternal and Child Health Hospital from April 2022 to March 2024 were selected and divided into control group and treatment group by lottery,with 48 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Erythromycin,and the treatment group was treated with Budesonide combined with Erythromycin.The therapeutic effect,symptom improvement time,pulmonary function index,inflammatory index,immune index and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the improvement time of spastic cough,shortness of breath,pulmonary rales,cough and panting were earlier than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,the levels of respiratory rate(RR),interleukin-8(IL-8),interleukin-4(IL-4),C reactive protein(CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,the levels of tidal volume(TV),immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin M(IgM)and immunoglobulin G(IgG)in the treatment group were higher than those of control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment effect of Budesonide combined with Erythromycin in children with pertussis is better,which can shorten the time of symptom improvement,improve lung function,reduce inflammatory indicators,improve immune status,and has good safety.
