Study on the Effect of"Sanlianquan"Acupuncture Combined with Surface Electromyography Biofeedback in the Treatment of Patients with Swallowing Dysfunction after Brain Injury
Objective:To study the effect of"Sanlianquan"acupuncture combined with surface electromyography biofeedback(sEMGBF)in the treatment of patients with swallowing dysfunction after brain injury.Method:A total of 100 patients with swallowing dysfunction after brain injury admitted to Quanzhou First Hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected to carry out the experiment.They were randomly divided into the combined group(n=50)and the conventional group(n=50)by computer numbered odd-even number method.The conventional group was treated with routine treatment,and the combined group was treated with"Sanlianquan"acupuncture combined with sEMGBF on the basis of conventional group.The curative effect,results of water swallow test,surface electromyography(sEMG)and pulmonary infection were compared between the two groups.Result:The total effective rate of combined group was higher than that of conventional group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The population proportion of grade 1 in water swallow test in the combination group was higher than that of the conventional group,while the population proportion of grade 4 was lower than that of the conventional group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the maximum amplitude of the upper and lower hyoid muscle group in both groups were higher than those before treatment,and those in the combined group were higher than those in the conventional group,while the swallowing time of the upper and lower hyoid muscle group in both groups were shorter than those before treatment,and those in the combined group were shorter than those in the conventional group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS)of two groups were lower than those before treatment,and that in the combined group was lower than that in the conventional group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:"Sanlianquan"acupuncture combined with sEMGBF is effective in the treatment of swallow dysphagia after brain injury,which can effectively promote the recovery of swallowing function,improve sEMG indicators and pulmonary infection.
