Clinical Effect of Electric Stimulation of Pelvic Floor Muscle in the Treatment of Recurrent Vaginitis
Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of electric stimulation of pelvic floor muscle in the treatment of recurrent vaginitis.Method:A total of 102 patients with recurrent vaginitis treated at the Third Hospital of Nanchang from June 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects, and were randomly divided into group E(n=52)and group C(n=50).Group C received routine Western medicine treatment for vaginitis, while group E received electric stimulation of pelvic floor muscle treatment in addition to group C.The clinical symptoms, laboratory examination results of vaginal discharge, pelvic floor muscle strength, clinical effect and recurrence rate at 1 year after the end of treatment were compared between the two groups.Result:The improvement time of clinical symptoms of patients with different types of vaginitis in group E were shorter than those in group C,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of pH values of 3.8-4.5,vaginal cleanliness of grade Ⅰ and Ⅱ in group E were higher than those in group C,and the positivity rate of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)was lower than that in group C,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the number of vagina lactobacillus between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the number of vaginal lactobacilli in both groups were increased compared to before treatment, and that in the group E was higher than that in the group C,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in pelvic floor muscle strength between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the proportion of pelvic floor muscle strength grade Ⅳ and Ⅴ in group E was higher than that in group C,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of group E was higher than that of group C,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Within one year after treatment, the recurrence rate of vaginitis in group E was lower than that in group C,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with conventional western medicine alone, the combined application of electric stimulation of pelvic floor muscle has a better effect on patients with recurrent vaginitis, which can significantly shorten the recovery time of clinical symptoms, improve the patient's vaginal pH,cleanliness and imbalance of vaginal flora, and enhance the patient's pelvic floor muscle strength.
