Research Progress of Target Organ Damage in Patients with Primary Aldosteronism
Primary aldosteronism(PA)is the most common cause of secondary hypertension.PA mainly activates the mineralocorticoid receptor(MR)through aldosterone, leading to target organ damage, such as cardiovascular, renal, cerebral damage and metabolic disorders.By understanding the clinical characteristics and mechanisms of target organ damage in patients with PA,can draw the attention of clinicians to PA,which is conducive to improving the prognosis of patients, and this article reviews the relevant studies on target organ damage in patients with PA.
