Research Progress of Age-related Hearing Loss in Old Adults
Age-related hearing loss(ARHL)is a slowly progressive sensorineural hearing loss that occurs gradually as a person gets older.The extent of bilateral auditory decline may vary,leading to different negative emotional consequences and significantly impacting the quality of life for patients.This review of the etiology,influencing factors,adverse effects,and rehabilitation treatment modalities with ARHL,and puts forward prospects to provide suggestions for clinical and basic research on this disease.It also provides a reference for medical staff to understand ARHL and develop intervention and rehabilitation measures,thereby improving the quality of life of the elderly.
